ten lignum vitae bowls were a pound each. It feels like such a privilege to work in the heaviest of all woods, and so beautiful too. Whether the lignum shivs do the job, I'll have to see. Using 8mm brass axles with brass washers - have threaded the ends so they clench into the last bit of shell they enter
(7.5mm hole only). Brass isn't the best but bronze is really expensive. You can still see the ivory dot on the nearest shell.
